There is a key pad on the side of the driver side door that allows you to enter a code to get into the vehicle in the case that you lock your keys in the vehicle or want to go to the park for a run and don't want to carry your car keys with you. I also love the navigation system it is always accurate and extremely easy to use! The heated leather seats are my favorite part of the car, and when the defrost is on, the side view mirrors also heat up. It drives like a smaller car, being able to take turns more easily than larger SUVs. I love the size of the vehicle and the how the vehicle drives. the vehicle is very sassy, meaning that it drives like a sports car, but sits higher up like a regular SUV, making it easier to see the road and manage the vehicle, even in the snow! The seats fold down to give ample storage space in the back area, and there are also air vents to produce heat and air conditioning in the back area. The vehicle rides smoothly and since my vehicle is an AWD model, it does EXCELLENT in the ice and snow.

Connecting my Bluetooth device is simple and the quality of the sound is excellent as well. The touch screen controls are great and they can also be used via voice activation (i.e., for phone calls). I have heated leather seats and electric/power windows/seats and mirrors. There are no rattles or random sounds as I drive and the features available are very nice. Being able to get the car seat in and out of the car is essential to my daily life and the Ford Escape makes it so simple! The operation of the vehicle has good quality. More- 192,000 and it's still going strong.I love my 2016 Ford Escape! The size of it is perfect for me since I am a new mother and also short in stature. I'd still own another one in a heartbeat. The underside is sealed so that's the only access. You have to remove the tire and the screws holding the fender well on and reach in. My only gripe is the hoops you have to jump through to change driving lights, parking lights and front turn signals.

Update to end all updates- 147,000 and still going strong. Great in all weather, hardly any rattles, everything still works. Updated to my updated update- 93000 miles, still an awesome car. Update to my update- 79000 and still absolutely trouble free. I have over 65000 miles on the car and I'm as happy with it now as I was when I bought it. One tip, if you're driving in the snow turn the traction control off. It's great in the snow,even without snow tires. I'm looking forward to driving it in the snow and expect I won't be disappointed. You can't force it to work a certain way just because you want it to. Yes, like everyone … else I had some issues with the SYNC system but once I figured out what it required from me it's been trouble-free. Plenty of very comfortable room inside for me and my dogs, terrific ride and I'm averaging a between 24-25 MPG combined. So far it is everything I could have hoped for. I bought this car when it was a year old with about 22K miles and paid $10,000 less than the sticker price.
First off, I have the 2.0 engine but it didn't list that as a choice when starting the review.
